This month, we have had some very exciting events and activities for seniors for our residents at Prestwick Chase at Saratoga. We’ve offered a Stained Glass Class each week. We have had trips to Circus Smirkis, Music by Bill Charlap/Renee Rosnes at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and the Saratoga County Fair.

As July comes to a close, some of our upcoming events include regular shuttles to the Saratoga Race Track, Music on the Piazza on Friday July 30th, and a trip to the Saratoga Farmer’s Market on Saturday July 31st.

Computers for Seniors - Training, Support and Setup

Do you own a computer? Have you ever used one before? Even if you have never entertained the thought of using a computer, many of our residents at Prestwick Chase at Saratoga have used computers for years, and some just recently have joined the technology fold.

One of the great computers out their for seniors is offered by a company called MyGait. MyGait offers computers that are easier to use, especially for novices to the computer world.

Macs are in use by our employees at the front desk and business office, and many of our residents own either a Mac or PC. At Prestwick Chase, we have a computer support person, Robert Braathe, who makes regular visits to the property. He is able to design individual lessons, troubleshoot your computer, and provide you with the comfort and security of knowing that a question can be answered in no time at all.

Prestwick Chase at Saratoga has everything from studio apartments, one bedroom/one bath, two bedroom/one bath, and two bedroom/two bath units.

All the suites are connected to Excelsior Commons Community Center, so you never have to go outside in inclement weather. Your utilities, with the exception of cable TV and telephone, are included in your monthly service fee.

The suites are equipped with all appliances including dishwasher, self-cleaning oven, refrigerator, and washer and dryer. Each suite has its own private balcony or patio where you may sit and enjoy our scenic surroundings.
