Residents of Prestwick Chase boarded the Mercedes Shuttle and headed down to Albany to tour the Schuyler Mansion. The home is a great piece of fascinating history of General Schuyler. The Schuyler Mansion was home to Philip J. Schuyler, the Revolutionary War Major General, US Senator, agrarian and businessman. The home over overlooks the Hudson River. The design of the home was done in part to the English influences. His wife, Catherine Van Rensselaer, came from a powerful dutch family in the local area. The two raised eight children. This wonderful part of American History, is a intriguing place to see.
