Residents of Prestwick Chase recently were given a tremendous cruise in style early fall surprise. Prestwick Chase now owns for its residents a tour bus!! The sleek vehicle has reclining seats, flat screen T.V’s, bathroom and has the ability when boarding to lower itself right down to the ground to allow those with physical challenges to simply step right on without difficulty. The Prestwick Chase Touring Bus also allows more residents to participate in outings and activities as the original seating on previous shuttle was 13 and now has expanded to 40!! Another great perk is all the extra storage below the seating. This makes it very easy to be able to store luggage, walkers and any items that normally could clutter the inside when going out on activities.

Prestwick Chase has often been referred to on T.V, talk radio and other social media platforms as a cruise ship on land. Well we love that label so much that now the cruise ship on land has a mini cruiser for its residents to travel in complete luxury, comfort and safety. We are constantly seeking to provide the best services for our family community and to always go a step beyond anyone attempting to be our competitors. Leading by example and listening to the desires of our community is what constantly drives us to be the best.

This particular activity was with a group out to the Olde Bryan Inn Restaurant here in Saratoga Springs. Even with masks on you could see the smiles and excitement to know that everyone was going to enjoy a very smooth ride. We look forward too many more outings in the near future. Leaf Peak Season is just around the corner!

Residents of Prestwick concluded the 2020 putting golf season. The group plays in pairs through out the summer competing for best teams with lowest score. This tournament is a great way for residents to meet other residents and simply enjoy the fresh air and sun. Was a beautiful day to hold the final day of the contest. Winners will be announced in soon and have their names added to our golfing plaque. We congratulate all the players on the close of another successful, fun filled season.

Residents attended an art class to create beautiful wall art/door decor pieces. Always a joy to watch the creative concepts individuals come up with, that are truly unique to their personalities. The hour long class was packed! Having such a large space art room is a true blessing. Residents will often come in and do stenciling and stain glass projects. It was a fun day for all.

Well we all know this years race track season at Saratoga, is a very different one due to the virus. A group of residents however are not letting the virus curb their enthusiasm for the tradition of fancy track hats. Ladies gathered in the art room to create their own Travers Stake hats. They truly had a blast and their designs were so very vibrant and some for sure had the flare in full effect. Thank you to all those who participated in this fun activity!

Farmers Market was invited back to Prestwick Chase to offer their products to our community. With it being a beautiful day we had residents out on bikes. Some stopped by to see the offering of fruits, vegetables and baked goods. With blueberries in full swing there were wonderful blueberry breads for the residents to select from. This activity does so much good for everyone involved that Prestwick Chase now has the farmers event as a regular once a week activity. Even staff now will go out to see what items are available to bring home to their families. Supporting local farmer families is simply a pure joy for our residents. GREAT JOB!!
