RACHMANINOFF AT 150

Residents attended this special Orchestra event at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The Philadelphia Orchestra featured the towering Symphony No. 3 and beloved second Piano Concerto. This 150th Rachmaninoff Birthday celebration was quite the evening and the residents who attended enjoyed the performance!

THE WILD IRISH ACRES DANCERS

Residents were treated to an Irish Dance performance. The Wild Irish Acres Dancers is a non-competitive family dance group based in Saratoga Springs, NY. Teri Hughes has been teaching this group for many years as her own family (four generations) have danced with her. It was a fantastic performance to honor Irish Dance Traditions.

GRAND HOTELS

Residents at Prestwick were treated to a guest speaker who gave a presentation of the history of The Grand Hotels of Saratoga. Local Historian Charlie Kuenzel, gave the fascinating history on Congress Hall, Grand Union Hotel, United States Hotel and Grand Central Hotel. The residents enjoyed very much this lecture on incredible local history.
