Resident Lead Groups at Prestwick Chase

Prestwick Chase at Saratoga has a number of activities on the calendar each month that are completely handled by our residents, for our residents.
A monthly newsletter, known as The Chase, Tuesday night BINGO, The Book Chat Club, Poetry Readings and various card and other games are among events conducted under the leadership of our residents.
For the past three years, Prestwick Chase CEO Fred McNeary, Jr. has presented awards to some of the outstanding residents who dedicate their time and talents to endeavors that benefit their fellow “Chasers.”
This year’s recipients were Marilynn Peterson, the guiding librarian of our in-house Penfield Library, and Samuel Cahan, leader of the monthly Book Chat Club. Marilynn is also involved it the book club selections each month.
Sam and Marilynn each received a certificate of appreciation and a crystal plaque for display.
The award is named in memory of former Chase Editor Jeanne Schreiber who was an avid gardener and writer who contributed much to Prestwick Chase while she was a resident.
Previous winners include the current managing editor of The Chase newsletter, Marian Potter, and the coordinator of resident gardens, Cathy Bungard.
