Prestwick Chase hosted a Travers Celebration Gala at the Canfield Casino, in Congress Park. Residents of Prestwick along with VIP’s in the Saratoga Region were invited to attend the night’s festivities. Everyone was treated to the Georgie Wonders Orchestra, which performed late into the evening.
Guest Speakers included Charlie Kuenzel and Dave Patterson, co-owners of Saratoga Tours. These two gentlemen have a wealth of knowledge about the history and heritage of Saratoga Springs. There were many forms of entertainment for the guests to take in. We had Cirque Tacular Contortionists who simply amazed the audience, Chris Wheel & Ryan Bliss Magicians, Bryson Lang Comedy/Juggler, Sandy Menzer: Spiritual intuitive who has worked with Mary Lou Whitney and Marci: Angel Therapy Practitioner.
Prestwick Chase’s Culinary team went all out for this prestigious event. The goal of the Travers Foundation Celebration Menu was to pamper our guests with wonderful cuisine combinations not normally seen. Passed Hors D’Oeuvre included Caprese Skewer with Balsamic Drizzle, Figs stuffed with Goat Cheese, wrapped in Pancetta, Devils on Horseback, Mermaids on Horseback, Crab Cakes with Red Pepper Remoulade and Clams Casino. Raw Bar included Oysters on the half shell, Clams on the half shell and Pink Gulf Shrimp. Pasta Station a big hit with the crowd was your choice of Fettuccini, Penne, Prosciutto stuffed Tortelloni with sauces of Marinara, Alfredo, Ala Vodka, and hand Melon Creme. Carving Station offered Beef Tenderloin with demi glaze and wild mushrooms. Another big treat was our Savory and Sweet Crepes which the line seemed never ending as people watched them being prepared to their taste.
The evening was truly magical with many people very surprised to learn that all the decorations, even down to the canoe on stage matching the Travers Colors was done by Prestwick Chase Staff.
